Is passt free?
Yes. You can sign up and use it for free.
How do I install it on iPhone?
Open getpasst.com in Safari, tap the share icon, then "Add to Home Screen". It then opens like an app.
And on Android or desktop?
Chrome and Edge offer "Install app" in the browser menu, or passt shows an install button.
How accurate are the calorie estimates?
They're estimates from a photo or description, usually close enough for weekly averages. You can correct every number, and the buddy asks when a portion is unclear.
Does it count steps automatically?
On iPhone, an Apple Shortcut can sync your daily steps every evening. You can also add steps by hand.
What happens to my data?
Your entries are stored in your account and only used to run the app for you. You can delete what the buddy remembers in Settings.
Which languages?
English and German, including voice input.
